When the mapping system opens, the map is quite small. This is deliberate, so that it loads as quickly as possible. The map is an image, just like any picture on any website, so the larger it is, the longer it will take to load. If you connect to the internet using a dial-up connection, we advise you to leave the map at this size.

If however you are on Broadband and have the advantage of a faster connection, you may wish to see a larger area of map. Click on the Bigger Map button to do this.
